Carter Brothers was founded in 2000 by 2013 NFL Hall of Fame Inductee, Chairman, Cris Carter, and his brother, John F. Carter, CEO. In 2012, Carter Brothers, LLC, announced the sale of its Fire & Life Safety Division and began operating under the trade name Carter Brothers Security Services, LLC resulting in unprecedented growth from its focus on security. In January, 2014 the acquisition of D&N Electric, a leader in sophisticated and innovative electrical construction and installation services positioned the firm as one of the largest minority-owned electrical services companies in the Southeast.
As one of the largest privately held, minority and family-owned, security and electrical services firms in the industry, Carter Brothers comprises two operating divisions: Carter Brothers Security Services and now D&N Electric Company. These two companies often collaborate to work jointly as one entity to provide integrated expertise as a leading provider of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management systems, general and specialized electrical installation services, with an expertise in project management.
Carter Brothers is pleased to continue the 40 plus year legacy of D&N Electric, a firm recognized for its work with many of the nation’s leading public industrial agencies and private companies. “We take pride in its long-standing reputation for competence, integrity, and stability. They have successfully completed many challenging and significant projects through their unparalleled determination to provide innovative technology to complete electrical, construction, design, engineering, and maintenance services,” states John Carter, President & CEO.
