Vice President of Operations
Joann Lowry joined Carter Brothers in 2005 with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.
She has directed and led major programs for GM; provided executive leadership of Construction Management Services in the Higher Education Market; Public Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities; Regional and County Jail Systems; major Highway Construction Projects; CAP Canal System; and numerous other heavy Industrial and Commercial Projects.
Joann has a wide range of experience in construction operations and delivery models from Design Build to General Contracting. She is experienced as an Owner’s Representative, Resident Manager for an Architectural/Engineering Firm and Executive Management of large accounts in Construction Management and General Contracting.
Since joining Carter Brothers Joann has led the development of improved processes and operational excellence in field deliverables while helping build the Prime Market and improving margins. Joann has worked diligently on organic growth within Carter Brothers by supporting and training personnel.
Joann’s future goals for Operations are to continue to raise the bar on performance through training, accountability, and efficiency; improved customer satisfaction; growth of Carter Brothers Prime Work; and development state of the art communication, reporting and job/cost accounting tools.
In addition to her career, Joann has managed to find time to participate in community service organizations, mentoring summer interns, establishing and managing a program for young people interested in a career in construction, led diversity programs with public schools, and participated in Chamber of Commerce Leadership Programs |
