Director of Human Resources

Marian Williams is the Head of Human Resources for Carter Brothers and oversees all human resource activities while focusing on key strategic human resource initiatives such as Talent Supply Management which includes workforce planning, succession planning, and training & development; HR & Organizational Development; and Total Rewards which includes compensation, benefits, incentives, and recognition.
Prior to her current position at Carter Brothers, Marian was a senior HR professional at Verizon Business in Alpharetta, GA. She holds a MBA in Human Resources Management, a BS in Organizational Management, and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), and the International Association of Coaches (IAC). Marian has over 19 years experience in the area of Human Resources which includes 13 years of experience at a senior level. Her areas of expertise include Mergers & Acquisitions, Job Evaluations, Compensation Design & Analysis, and Team Building & Employee Development.
Marian is the mother of three children. In her spare time Marian is a columnist for the Atlanta Tribune Magazine, writing articles on the topics of maximizing company and individual performance. Marian serves as a board member for the Warren/Holyfield Boys & Girls Club in Atlanta. In addition, she is the founder of My Girlfriends, Inc. – a non-profit organization developed for the purpose of providing education and charity for women and children. |
